Global mental health in asia symposium
Team of CRIN joined the ‘Global Mental Health in Asia Symposium, held at Singapore from 17-19 February 2025.
It was also a previlege for CRIN’s Director Bandana Sharma to present our project ‘Intergrated Mental Health Care project for Men/boys with addiction to the audience as one of the Poster Winner .
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
CRIN held it’s General Assembly on 26th January, 2025, with presenting the Program Report and Audit Report of FY 2080/81.
Decisions were made to extend CRIN’s into the new areas such as –
– Family Mental Health Care Plan…… and
– Integrated Mental Health Care program for Men/boys with Substance Use
Christmas SALE
CRIN participated in Christmas Market sales on to promote and sale hand products made by women/girls. Currently Rekha and Homa, are 2 girls who are making handmade products, which includes – Accessories, fabric/thread works and Nepali paper items.

Teens' jamghat
Teens’ Jamghat, which means Teen’s meet in Nepali, is an awareness initiative organized by CRIN’s teens’ club – ‘By Youth for Youth’, that was establised in .
‘By Youth For Youth’ – BYFY, is a group of self-enthusiastic teens coming together to create a positive change int he society. Mental Health, Gender Inclusion and Environmental protection is at core of their heart.
Teen’s Jamghat is their first initiative of street awareness program, organized to promote Mental Health.
young Ambassidors for mental health
CRIN equipped 9 young boys and girls (age 17-21) to become Young Ambassadors for Mental Health, through Mental Health Care Training under Project ‘Resilient Youth”.
These Young boys and girls are committed to advocate about openness towards Mental Health and Mental illness and would become a peer support group for those who need help.
story of puja
Puja, a 16 year old girl, was referred to CRIN by an
organization for counselling and other necessary support. Puja was severely
traumatized when she was first brought to CRIN by her sister. According to the
family she was just been rescued by the police, from a forced child marriage by
own relatives, with whom Puja lived.
Upon knowing her history, Puja had experience many
traumatic event in her life – from losing her brother in front of her eyes by a road
accident, to suffering physical and emotional violence from her own family
and relatives.
Puja was suffering PTSD, had high level of depressive symptom, with low social skills. Our team of counsellors, worked with her for 3 months dealing with her trauma using different approaches.
Because of Puja’s complex trauma symptoms and
due to financial situation, her sister wasn’t able to keep her. Meanwhile, CRIN
coordinated with different organization, who could provide her the safety as
well as other necessary support.
With counsellors help - Puja was ready to move to a shelter home and was willing to give herself a chance to create a better life herself. Puja is now in a Shelter home where she is protected and provided with necessary care and support.
Puja, is now preparing to join her school in April. She calls one of our counsellor every forth-week to tell her progress.
CRIN counsellor follower her up to check how she is doing at her new home, Puja said she is happy and is now preparing to join school in April. She also shared, she cannot thank enough to CRIN for the warmth and second chance she got from CRIN.
